Rafting Adventure in the Batoka Gorge

Duration: Half Day  (3- 4 hours) or Full Day  ( 8 hours)

The Zambezi River, just downstream from the Victoria Falls, has carved a path through the Batoka Gorge. This creates a series of exciting rapids (Grade 3-5) that will put your rafting skills and bravery to the test! Don't worry, though – our expert guides are there to keep you safe every step of the way, so you can enjoy the white water rafting adventure.

Be ready to enjoy our Zambezi White Water Rafting experience! We'll kick things off by picking you up from your hotel in Livingstone or Victoria Falls Town. Once we arrive at starting point, we'll have a safety briefing. After that we'll do a gear fitting to make sure you're all set. Then, it is off to the river's ditch-in point.

Before we dive into the rapids, our guides will walk you through the instructions and rafting techniques. With everything in place, we'll launch into the rapids of the Zambezi River. 

Get ready for an awesome day of whitewater rafting! We promise to tackle some seriously fun rapids, from exciting Grade 3s all the way up to Grade 5s. Don't worry, there will be calmer spots too, perfect for appreciating the incredible views of the Batoka Gorge. Our guides will keep us safe and make sure we have a blast navigating the river. We'll stop for a tasty riverside lunch where we can swap stories with everyone. You can purchase video and photos from your adventures to start bragging to your family and friends.

Itinerary
7:00 AM - 7:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel
7:30 AM - 8:30 AM: Transfer to the ditch point at the Zambezi River
8:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Safety briefing, gear fitting, and introduction to your guides
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM: White water rafting on the Zambezi River 
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Riverside lunch
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Continue rafting and transfer to the take-out point.
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Transfer back to your hotel

Booking Conditions

  • Minimum two clients for a booking to be secured 
  • Advance booking is essential, especially during peak season
  • Full payment is required upon booking
  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the trip will receive a full refund
  • Minimum age for rafting is typically 15 years
  • Participants must be reasonably fit and able to swim
